Looking for an island getaway? Southwest Airlines wants to start operating daily flights to two tropical locations from Sacramento.
Southwest Airlines issued its press release on Tuesday, November 19. It will begin operating daily from Sacramento International Airport to Maui and Kona, Hawaii, in the spring.
The airline now provides regular service to Honolulu, Hawaii.
“Southwest’s market performance in Sacramento is strong. Both for our unparalleled California intrastate service. And connectivity to many destinations across our vast network,”. Southwest Airlines spokesperson Chris Perry confirmed in an email to The Sacramento Bee.
Perry stated that Southwest Airlines will have more than 100 departures per day on busy days in Sacramento by the summer of 2025.
