James Gunn had pitched “CREATURE COMMANDOS” before he took over DC
Follows a group of military superhumans consisting of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, a Frankenstein’s monster, and a gorgon. Gunn then greenlit the project himself when he became CEO of DC Studios.

I’ve always loved the DC Universe, and while I thought the DCEU was overhyped, I’ve been very disappointed with several of the DCEU projects. This series has fantastic characters and is extremely creative.
I think when James Gunn says that superhero movies and TV have become too generic, that’s their point
There have been so many superhero movies in the last decade that when people see a new one coming out, they don’t go to the theaters because they think “there’s been too many of those other superhero movies.” like their all the same, just generic action movies (especially sequels) I think James Gunn is really going to change things and I can’t wait for him to do that. I also think that since Marvel has been so much more popular, DC has a lot of great characters that (fans) haven’t taken into account, and I think if DC can do everything right in the next couple of years, then lesser-known characters can do well at the box office as long as they can grab people’s attention and really have a special feel to them.

But yeah, this was a great start and I can see it only getting better from here.. "One Hundred Years of Solitude" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
